Day 1 a. Distance: 220 km | Elevation: 1,950m b. Arrive at Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand as well as the school capital of India. c. Relish in the beauty of Uttarakhand while enjoying music and gossiping around with your mates. d. To keep you draining from your high spirits a quick yet yummy lunch will be served. e. After reaching the quaint village Sankri, check-in one of the hotels/resorts and rest for the day.
Day 2 a. Trek Distance: 10 Kms | Duration: 6 Hours | Elevation: 2500m b. The Har ki Dun trekking will begin after having a hearty breakfast. Before starting the trek make sure you have plenty of water and energy snacks. c. After your arrival in Taluka, you’ll be trekking towards Osla, a place with an altitude of around 2560 meters. d. Along the way, traverse through the Siyan Gad by bridge to reach Dhatmir village and cross the Ton river as well, you will encounter wild orchids, and if you are lucky, you might be able to see barking deer , bores, leopards, and much more. e. Get ready to spend your night under the sky in comfortable tents, where a bonfire will provide you warmth and different folklore tales will keep your interest piqued.
Day 3 a. Trek Distance: 8 Kms | Duration: 6 Hours | Elevation: 2950m b. With pleasant valley and fragrance of nature, start your Har ki Dun trek. c. Explore the hidden side of Gharwal Himalayas while enjoying pleasant views of valleys and towering mountains. d. Settle down, have lunch and share your travel stories. e. The gradual ascent to Har ki Dun is adorned with flora and fauna mainly orchids, a symbol of love. f. The elevation reached of about 6200 m offers views of Swaragarohini and Jaundhar glacier. g. Retire for the night after a Bon appetite under the night sky filled with 88 constellations.
Day 4 a. Trek Distance: 15 Kms | Duration: 9 Hours | Elevation: 3400m b. After a healthy breakfast, you will start trekking towards Jaundhar glaciers. c. Feast your eyes with the picturesque view of around 55 KM vast of white snow and enchanting grasslands. d. If it is winter then play with snow, and if is not then lay on grass and feel the calm. e. With a heart full of memories, stomach filled with food, and a day of around 15 KM trekking, you are ready to retire for the night.
Day 5 a. Trek Distance: 5 Kms | Duration: 8 Hours | Elevation: 2500m b. The trek back to Osla will take quite a time, so, we request you to be hydrated all the time. c. On your way back, dive into the beauty of hands down one of the most beautiful valleys, landscapes, wilderness and etc. d. Think about all the stories you are going to share with your loved ones. e. On arriving at Osla, spend your nights at rest houses or tents provided. Dream a little dream of happiness.
Day 6 a. Trek Distance: 10 Kms | Duration: 6 Hours | Elevation: 1950m b. This trek is the utopia for flora and fauna lovers. c. With mouth-watering food on the way, you are going to be face to face with the sights of migratory birds disappearing in the snow-peaked Himalayas. d. After a trek of around 10 KM through steeper terrains and stunning environs, your journey of approximately 6-7 hours will come to an end at Sankri. e. Get your stomach filled, chit-chat and retire for the night.
Day 7 a. This will be the end of yourHar Ki Doon trek package, you’ll be driving back to Dehradun. b. You’ll be reaching Dehradun around 8 PM. c. You are going back with a smile on your face and memories in your heart.
