Day 1 a. Altitude: 4,600 ft. Time b. Taken: 7 – 8 Hours c. Our escorts pick up trekkers from Dehradun in a tempo traveller or car and take them to the Kuflon base camp, which is around 7 hours from Dehradun. d. The drive is complete with serene forest stretches and also passes through the banks of the Bhagirathi River, the Ganges, and also Uttarkashi town. After reaching the base camp near the banks of River Assi Ganga, they spend overnight at the campsite.
Day 2 a. Altitude: 6,780 ft. b. Time Taken: 4 hrs, 4 km c. Water source: A small stream 500 meters before the campsite, still it is advisable to carry at least 2 litres of water. d. The Mukta Top trek begins from Kuflon with a gradual hike through the village. After a little walk, the trail turns steep for about 1.5 km and has an abundance of towering Pine trees. After that, the trek gets gradual and involves an ascent for another 2.1 km. e. This trail passes through the forest full of rhododendrons, oaks, and maple trees. The area is full of beautiful birds and a few wild creatures as well. After the trail gets over, a stream, the first water source appears. After 20 minutes of the hike from there, the forest area gets over, and the campsite appears at a small clearing, here.
Day 3 a. Altitude: 9,600 ft. b. Time Taken: 5 – 6 hrs, 5 km c. The third day of the Mukta Top Trek takes through a steep and slightly difficult trail. The trek passes from a forest patch full of Green Oaks and Maples, a small stream, to Kuari (7,781 ft.). From here a steep ascent through a rocky patch takes to a Valley View Point. Afterwards, the ascent becomes gradual and passes through oak and bamboo forests till the campsite at Chaithathar, which lies in the middle of the forest.
Day 4 a. Altitude: 10,800 ft. b. Time Taken: 4 hrs, 4 km c. Today's trekking involves a gradual ascending through a forest trail from Chaithathar to Mukta Tal. After walking for a couple of hours along a well-made out trail, a small clearing appears that offers the first and stunning glimpse of Mt. Bandarpoonch, Kalanag and Nag Tibba. After then, the Mukta Top Trek is an upward trail to the base of the hill through undulating meadows to gorgeous Mukta Tal.
Day 5 a. Altitude: ascend to 11,838 ft. and then descend to 7,781 ft. b. Time Taken: 6-7 hrs, 9 km c. Now, the time to reach the summit of Mukta Top Trek, today the trail is a well-paved ascent through the meadows. After reaching the top, the views of the Mt. Bandarpoonch, DKD I/II, Gangotri III, Jaonli, Nag Tibba, and Kalanag ranges, and Siyari Tal are mesmerizing and out of the world. Afterwards, the descent begins through the same route and takes to Kuari campsite for overnight stay.

From Kuari campsite, Mukta Top Trek trip requires descending for about 4 hours to the Kuflon campsite on the similar well-defined trail through forests. The trail is full of a diverse variety of flora and fauna, and offers magnificent lush or snow-clad scenic views. Here, Himalayan birds, Black Bear, Barking Deer, Swamp Deer, and Leopards, get spotted every now and then. e. After reaching the base camp at the Kuflon, collect the final cherishable moments and take the road transport to Dehradun. Get dropped at the Dehradun ISBT by evening (approx. 6 pm)for your onwards journey.
